An optimum centre of gravity, in combination with a highly effective anti-vibration system, make this saw comfortable to use for extended periods, while starting is made hassle free by Stihl’s ElastoStart ignition system and carburettor pre-heating. Other high-level features include the Quick Stop Super chain brake, which stops the saw when the rear handle is released, or in the event of kick-back; the Oilomatic chain lubrication system, which significantly reduces wear, consequently extending the life of the cutting attachment; the Rapid Super Comfort chain for an extremely smooth cutting performance, and Side Chain Tensioning which allows the chain tension to be easily adjusted, without risk of contact with the chain.
