The Stihl MS460 Heavy-duty Professional Chainsaw is an extremely powerful saw, highly suitable for thinning medium stands and for harvesting very large timber. Its relatively light weight, precisely calculated anti-vibration system and superb ergonomic design all combine to make this saw very comfortable to use, thereby reducing operator fatigue and extending periods of use. Starting is hassle free thanks to the incorporation of a decompression valve and Stihl’s ElastoStart ignition system. Other professional features include the Quick Stop Super chain brake, which stops the saw when the rear handle is released, or in the event of kick-back; the Oilomatic chain lubrication system, which significantly reduces wear, consequently extending the life of the cutting attachment; the Rapid Super Comfort chain for an extremely smooth cutting performance, and Side Chain Tensioning which allows the chain tension to be easily adjusted, without risk of contact with the chain.
