Thanks to its ultra-compact design and fantastic self-feed mechanism, this high-quality but affordable garden-shredder from Bosch is probably the most practical and convenient drum-type machine you’ll find on the market. Its long-lasting and high-powered 2200w induction motor drives a spinning cutter-drum that will cut and crush even the most fibrous garden debris without problem (branches up to 38mm in diameter are acceptable). The resulting mulch is sent to an integrated 50-litre collection-box ready for composting or root-protection purposes (the detachable hopper can be stored within the collector when not in use). Bosch AXT-25D Quiet Electric Garden-Shredder

A step-up from the Bosch AXT-22D, this more powerful model is fitted with a very high-performance 2500w induction motor that allows for a faster work rate – you’ll be able to process up to 190kg of garden waste every hour. Twigs, leaves hedge-clippings and even lopped branches up to 40mm in diameter are crushed and chopped within the rotating drum. You don’t want to lose any of the valuable mulch that’s produced, so it’s sent to a capacious 50-litre debris-collector, ready for the trip to the compost-heap (the collector is integrated neatly into the body of the machine). The Bosch AXT-25D Quiet Electric Garden-Shredder is equipped with a set of transport wheels and weighs-in at only 25kg, making it a breeze to shift it from site-to-site. The detachable hopper can be stored in the collection-box for space-saving storage; while a ‘pulse reverse’ mechanism (controlled by a touch-pad) makes it quick and easy to free any blockages that might occur.
