MTD M61 Two-Stage Self-Propelled Snow Blower
When winters are tough, you have a duty of care to clear snow and ice if you can, to avoid injury to visitors and a snow blower like the MTD M61 will make light work of medium falls of snow. It has a purpose built SnowThorX engine, with a power rating of 3kw, delivering great performance and reliability, even in very low temperatures. It has a recoil start with a large-sized handle so you can even use it with gloves on. Superior manoeuvrability is provided by the gears -five forward and two reverse - enabling you to get out of tight spaces and clear up to edges efficiently. The two-stage mechanism uses a heavy-duty, steel, serrated edged auger to break up snow and ice, then directing it back to a strong, high-speed impellor, which ejects the snow and ice dust in a stream The clearing width of 61 centimetres and intake height of 53 centimetres mean this machine can handle deeper snow of a foot or more. The snow exit chute revolves through 180°, to enable the operator to direct snow wherever it is convenient and it is remotely operated with a crank handle, for total control without leaving the operating position. There are adjustable snow-skids on the front undersides of the hood which aid forward motion enable the operator to change the height of the auger, avoiding avoid scraping the ground or throwing up unwanted material. The 10 by 4 wheels are equipped furnished with tough snow hog tyres for maximum grip and traction in winter conditions.
